Privacy Policy
ORIGIN does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. Your projects belong to you and stay on your devices.
What ORIGIN stores, and where
Everything you create in ORIGIN, including projects, ideas, tickets, attachments, history, and release checklists, is stored in a database on your own device. Arnold Walker, the developer of ORIGIN, has no server and never receives a copy.
iCloud sync (optional, off by default)
If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, ORIGIN stores your library in your own private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit. That data is tied to your Apple ID, counts against your iCloud storage, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer (Arnold Walker) cannot see, access, or read anything in your private iCloud database. Turning sync off stops it at any time.
ORIGIN Intelligence
AI features run entirely on your device using Apple's on-device model. Your text is not sent to the developer or to any AI service. When Apple Intelligence is unavailable, those features simply turn off; everything else keeps working.
Agent connections (Mac only)
On the Mac, ORIGIN can run a connection server so coding agents you choose (such as Claude Code) can read and update your tickets. It listens only on your own computer (127.0.0.1), requires a token you create, and records every request in a local audit log you can review. It cannot be reached from the internet. Whatever an agent does with the information it reads is governed by that agent's own terms.
Network use
ORIGIN makes no network connections of its own, with two exceptions you control: iCloud Sync (above), and the optional address check in Release Center, which only contacts the support or privacy web address you typed in, to confirm it loads.
Dictation
The dictation button uses your device's built-in system dictation. Speech is handled by Apple under Apple's terms; ORIGIN only receives the finished text.
Children
ORIGIN does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
Deleting your data
Delete projects inside the app, or delete the app to remove its local data. If you used iCloud Sync, you can remove ORIGIN's iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings (Manage Storage).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
